The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Vice-President, Janis Linot.
Approve agenda: Move: Chris Wendt; Second: Keith Cox; approved.
Approve April minutes: Move: Jack Carr; Second: Rebecca Linot; approved.
Financial Report: Marion Futhey reported a balance of $9968.29. Deposits were membership dues and concessions from city-wide garage sale. Approve Financial Report: Move: Janie Barnard; Second: Jack Carr; approved.
Member reports: Jack Carr reported on the application for grant to purchase a computer, scanner, and printer.
Committee reports:
Grounds: None
Finance and Budget: Marion Futhey reported he will send reminder letters to current members.
Staging and Decorating: Cindy Bradford reported donations from Jack Bannon and USD394. Mark Alley has put together a Census book. Themes for the Museum will be: May – honor Moms; June – honor Dads. Plans are in place to start a tea garden.
Records: Daryl Futhey continues to work on a database listing the collection.
Artifacts and History: Janis Linot reported the Museum continues to be open two Saturdays each month. May dates will be changed to accommodate Memorial Day and the Alumni Banquet.
Fundraising: Janis Linot reported the concessions on garage sale weekend was a success.
Cemeteries: Martin Herbers reported Memorial Day services in area cemeteries.
Website: Daryl Futhey is updating and revising the website and the Museum brochure.
OLD BUSINESS:
- Museum five-year plan. Tabled.
- Extended lease agreement. Keith Cox will check with the City on the terminology.
- Safe box costs: Tabled.
- Audit report. Tabled.
- A flag pole committee was appointed: Keith Cox; Martin Herbers; Craig Linot; Marion Futhey.
